Cedar Hunt Holiday Trash Service Schedule.

AAA Trash will not be picking up trash and recycling in the community on Tuesday December 25th, 2007 and Tuesday January 1st, 2008. The regular Friday trash pickup will be made.

A special Recyclable Only pickup is scheduled for Saturday December 29th, 2007 and Saturday January 5th, 2008. Please have recycling bins out by 6:00AM.

Christmas Tree Removal - Service will be provided on the first two Wednesdays in January (1/2/2008 and 1/9/2008). Any trees to be removed thereafter will be removed with the trash. Please place at the curb with all trimmings removed. Trees in excess of 8 feet in length need to be cut in half in order to be removed.

Cedar Hunt Social Committee: Upcoming Community Events

Hello Neighbors!

It's hard to believe the holidays are upon us! And with the Block Party, Ice Cream Social and College Game Day Breakfast behind us, it's time to look at a few holiday events -- for both adults and kids!

The Social Committee is organizing an adults only 'Holiday Walk' on Saturday, December 8th at 5:00 pm. Based on the progressive dinner idea, the Holiday Walk will be hosted by 3 or 4 homes (depending on the number of people interested). The first 2 or 3 houses will serve appetizers with the last house serving dessert. The host homes will only be responsible for serving drinks (wine, beer, soda, water), and all others will be responsible for bringing an appetizer or dessert to share. We will be spending about 45 minutes to an hour at each house. And don't forget bring your own wine glass!

This is a fun and festive way to get to know your neighbors! If you're interested in participating, please email Caroline Lee at social@cedarhunt.com no later than Saturday, December 1st to get all the details. And please indicate whether you'd like to be a host home.

On Saturday, December 15th, Santa will make a visit through our neighborhood, courtesy of Arcola Fire Department. To serve Loudoun County's communities, we are asking that you bring a can good. Volunteers from the Fire Department will be collecting them during their visit. Please note that the time has yet to be determined for this event. We will let you know as soon as we find out. Come out for this family fun event, meet Santa and warm up with some hot chocolate!

Update on the community directory: It's been a long process, but we have almost everyone's information. Since it is required to mail all business related to the community, we have allowed for directory expenses in the 2008 budget. Therefore, the directory will not be mailed out until early January. Thank you for your cooperation and patience!

The Social Committee will be using Evite as a means to inform the community of events, as well as determine the number of people attending. To respect everyone's privacy, names and emails will not be disclosed on the Evite. To better prepare for these events, please make sure to view and respond accordingly. Thank you!!

10:00 AM at the open area between Donerails Chase and Bradfords Telegraph.

Even houses bring a breakfast item to share (donuts, bagels, pastries, etc.)
Odd houses bring a beverage to share (coffee, tea, juice, etc.)

Social Committee will provide paper products, sugar and cream.

Community Homeowner Meeting, Thursday, 27 SEP 2007

Meeting on Route 50 Mixed Use Business District.

A community meeting on the development of a Planned Development-Mixed Use Business Zoning District for use along the Route 50 corridor is scheduled for 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2007, at Pleasant Valley Methodist Church, 43987 John Mosby Highway (Route 50) in Chantilly.

The event will benefit Dulles South public schools. Come in costume or stay for the events after the race. There�s something for everyone in the family.

Trash Pick-Up

9/15/06 - Wanted to let everyone know that AAA Trash Company assured me this morning that there would be trash pick-up in the neighborhood today. I asked about why them missed pick-up on Tuesday and the person said that my management company (HOA) would know.
